The shoulder height of adult bulls is 170-190 cms, its weight is around 600-1000kgs. Both bulls and cows wear a V-shaped horn, the lower 2/3 part of it is twisted along a spiral line. They usually live in groups of 20-60. Watch it! White vertical light stripes can be found on both sides of their body. As such kind of stripes can be found among animals living in forests, probably the eland antelope used to live in forested areas previously. Habitat: Arid, woodland savannahs, lowlands or slightly hilly areas Spread: East, South and Central Africa
