Did you know? Sheep have various names in the Hungarian language. There is a different word for a male sheep ("kos) and a male sheep if it is castrated ("ürü"). The female sheep has a different name when it is young ("jerke"), when it is having the first kid ("előhasi anya") and later on ("anyajuh"). Kids are called suckling lamb after They are born, and later on weaned lambs. There is a separate word for sheep older than 1 year of age ("toklyo") and based on its sex, it can be "kostoklyo", "ürütoklyo" or "jerketoklyo".
Watch it! It is covered with white,woolly fur quilted with some black hairs and with a tressy structure. This woolly fur does not cover its head and the under parts of its legs.
