Nutrition: It consumes tree leaves and smaller amount of grasses.
Reproduction: Females bring their first calf into the world at the age of 4-5 years, mostly during the rainy season.
Did you know? They live in groups of 5-20 and has a hiding lifestyle. Usually searches for food during the night in order to avoid heat. When it is too hot, They go to near bogs and submerge in mud.
Watch it! It is named after its rufous fur. As it ages, the colour of its fur gradually deepens.
Habitat: Marshlands of rainforests.
Spread: Lowland rain forests and marshlands of Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Togo and Cameroon.
