Reproduction
The female builds her nest in tree hollows, cavities, warm, dry and dark places, in which she lays an average of 20 eggs. She warms them for about a month and a half. However, after the little ones hatch, she continues to live. The little snakes are about 30 cm long and are immediately self-sufficient.
- A species adapted to humans, it often ventures into settlements, as it finds plenty of mice and rats there. It is generally not afraid and will let itself be touched. However, its bite is very painful, so caution is advised.
- Snakes do not have eyelids, they cannot blink, and their eyes are open even while sleeping.
