Let’s celebrate together on May 1st and during the Mother’s Day at the Győr Zoo
The May 1st long weekend is the perfect opportunity to step away from everyday life and spend meaningful time together with your family.
Nature is awakening, the animals at the zoo are becoming more active, and we are preparing a variety of colourful programs to offer an experience-rich leisure time for all age groups.
On all three days we are preparing games, exciting zoo experiences, and plenty of discoveries. If you love animals and adventure,
you will surely find your favourite program with us!
Feeding demonstrations – closer to the animals
During the weekend you can take part in exciting feeding demonstrations, where our keepers share stories about the daily lives of our residents,
their habits, and what they enjoy eating the most. It’s worth keeping an eye on the program schedule so you don’t miss the most interesting moments!
Animal matching game
While walking around, observe the animals carefully, as they will be the main stars of our matching game! Can you figure out which item belongs to which animal? Give it a try and test your knowledge in a fun way!
During the Mother’s Day long weekend, from Friday onwards, you can once again enjoy boat rides between downtown Győr and the zoo,
so you can combine your visit with a special water experience. The boat ride fee is 3,000 HUF/person/ride (payment available on board).

Buy your tickets in advance and instead of waiting in line, spend more time enjoying our animal programs,
or simply the company of the residents of our zoo.
Opening hours:
Zoo: Monday-Sunday 10am-7pm
Ticket office: Monday-Sunday 10am-6pm
We start to close our animals at 6:00 PM. After this time, the animal houses will be closed,
and the animals will no longer be visible in their enclosures.
