- These long-haired, tailless gibbons can walk upright on the ground. When walking, they raise their arms in the air, otherwise their hands would touch the ground. While standing firmly on its feet, it can jump up to 10 metres.
- The northern white-cheeked gibbon is a highly endangered species, surviving only in small, isolated areas.
- This species is the king of the stuntmen! Balancing their bodies, they bounce from one branch to the next, holding on with one arm and the other.
- The gibbon's melodious call is unrivalled among great apes.
