Information About the Zoo Camp

During the summer, the Zoo Camp welcomes children aged 7 to 14 over several weeks (participation requires successful completion of the first grade of primary school). Children spend most of the day caring for animals, including cleaning, feeding, and general upkeep. At the same time, we place strong emphasis on sustainability education, environmental awareness, and, of course, recreation. Educational presentations and interactive games are key pillars of our program.

The camp package includes:

  • daily zoo admission tickets for children, including full insurance
  • annual zoo pass
  • three meals per day (including a two-course lunch)
  • arts and crafts activities
  • educational presentations
  • personal encounters with animals and conversations with zookeepers
  • cleaning enclosures and getting to know zoo facilities and daily operations
  • behind-the-scenes zoo visit
  • closing surprise activity at the end of the camp
  • 1 baseball cap (mandatory to wear for sun protection and to distinguish campers from visitors)

Information for Campers

On the first day, please bring the following items for registration:

  • parental consent form (downloadable from the website; without it, participation in the camp is not possible)
  • 1 passport-size photo (printed is acceptable)
  • a change of clothes, closed shoes or rubber boots, raincoat, warm sweater, socks, mosquito and tick repellent, sunscreen

Arrival: every morning between 7:30 and 8:00 AM

Departure: between 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM

The Zoo Camp entrance is through the green gate next to the ice rink.
We are unable to provide supervision for children outside the stated hours.
Campers may leave on their own only with written parental permission.

We cannot take responsibility for mobile phones or cameras.
The use of mobile phones during the camp is prohibited (except in urgent cases or with prior approval from the camp leader).
There will be an opportunity to buy souvenirs and ice cream on Friday, so it is advisable to bring pocket money for that day.
