Primarily scavengers, they often fight vultures for prey. - Although they fly sluggishly with slow wing flaps, their huge wings can take advantage of the rising air currents to soar to great heights.
- It has a bald head and neck, a strong wedge-shaped beak and a distinctive brisket. A brisketor throat lobe is a large formation starting from the neck. It is inflatable thanks to airbags connected to the nostrils.
