Visitor’s Rule

 

1. Everyone may visit the zoo only at their own risk, during opening hours and with a validticket. Please keep the ticket until the end of your visit.

1.1. Tickets purchased on site are valid for the day of purchase and are valid for oneentry only.

1.2. Tickets purchased in advance are valid for 365 days from the date of purchase and entitle

the holder to a single entry.

1.3. It is not possible to return a ticket once it has been bought, and the Zoo will notconsider

any complaints after leaving the ticket office.

 

2. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

 

3. Please use only the designated visitor route.

 

4. No vehicles, dogs or other animals are allowed on the zoo premises!

Exemption from the provisions of this point - the provisions of the Regulation No. 27/2009

(XII.3.(hereinafter referred to as the "SZMM Decree"), and with regard to the provisions of

Article 7/A (1) of Act XXVI of 1998 on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Ensuring their Equal Opportunities, an exception shall be made for properly trained dogswhich are certified as having been trained, have a distinctive sign in accordance withArticle 1 (2) of the SZMM Decree and are appropriately marked with the distinctive signand the logo of the training organisation, and are provided with the detailed rules for thecontrol of rabies in accordance with Article 1 (2) of Decree 164/2008 (20.VII.20.(4) (1) (ac) of FVM Decree 164/2008 (VII.2008) and Article 8 (2) of FVM Decree 81/2002 (4.IX.2002) on veterinary tasks of zoonoses control, duly vaccinated against rabies and treated with a broad-spectrum anthelmintic, with a vaccination booklet, in accordance withArticle 1 (b) of SZMM Decree.

In order to spped up entry and admission, and for the convenience of visitors, if a visitorarrives with an assistance dog, he/she must notify the Zoo of his/her intention to visit threeworking days before the planned visit by contacting the Zoo electronically atzoogyor@zoogyor.com. Please attach copies of documents and documentation proving thatthe assistance dog complies with the legal provisions of this point as an attachment to thee-mail. The Zoo will send the visitor, by electronic means, a reply with the authorisation orrefusal of the visit

Visitors with assistance dogs must ensure that the assistance dog is on a leash at all timesduring the visit. The visitor must also ensure that the dog does not endanger the health, safety or wellbeing of the zoo animals or other visitors. Otherwise, the Zoo reserves theright to remove the dog from the Zoo's premises in accordance with Article 9(4) of theZoo's Regulations.

Please also use the designated visitor route only with the assistance dog. Where the visitorroute passes through or enters the animal enclosure, the assistance dog is not allowed.

 

5. Please smoke only in designated areas!

 

6. It is dangerous and forbidden to climb into, or reach in the enclosures,  climb on the bars orrailings, which is also indicated by special warning signs. Parents are asked to remind theirchildren of this and to keep a close eye on them.

 

7. In the event of disturbance of the Zoo's operating order, disturbance of the animals,endangering their physical integrity or blatant, scandalous behaviour, the Zoo's staff may askthe visitor to stop the activity and, if necessary, to leave the Zoo immediately, and in justifiedcases, police assistance may be requested.

 

8. The visitor is liable for any damage caused by him/her.

 

9. The ponds and ditches in the Zoo are deep, so please do not go near them.

 

10. To protect the health of the animals and to meet their special feeding needs, feeding is only allowed in designated pens with zoo food sold for this purpose.

 

11. The petting zoo can only be used in the presence of an adult and at your own risk.

 

12. In the event of an accident or other incident, please notify any zoo staff memberimmediately!

 

13. First aid kit and emergency call facilities are available at the ticket office and in the office.

14. Please contact any zoo staff member with any questions or problems.

 

15. Please contact the office if you have any concerns about staff behaviour.

 

16. You can take your own photographs, video and audio recordings for home use in the zoowithout special permission.

 

17. By purchasing an admission ticket, visitors agree to have their photo or video taken and published by the zoo. With reference to Article 2:48 of the Civil Code V of 2013 [Right toimage and sound recording].

 

18. In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, our visitors can also request the cessation and deletion of theuse of their photos and videos by sending an email to zoogyor@zoogyor.com. For visitors who do not wish to be identified in the images, please indicate this at the main

entrance at the start of the visit.

 

19. The Hall, which is part of the Zoo, has its own house rules, which are a supplement to theVisitor Rules of the Xantus János Zoo.

 

By purchasing an admission ticket, the buyer accepts the terms and conditions of therules.
